Nobel Night at UBC Okanagan
Each December, Nobel Prize medals are presented to some of the world’s most outstanding contributors in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, peace and economics.
In celebration, UBC Okanagan hosts Nobel Night — an opportunity to learn about the Nobel Laureates and their world-changing ideas.
Imagine discovering planets outside our solar system or reducing global poverty in all its forms. Imagine using oxygen to better understand basic cellular mechanics or a battery that powers the world. Imagine no more. Fifteen Nobel Prize laureates have been awarded this year for these achievements and many others.
Be inspired to make imagination reality, as a distinguished panel of UBC Okanagan professors decipher how the 2019 Nobel Prizes have changed the world forever.
