Working

Effective: September 1, 2021

Return to campus
Faculty and staff responsible for in-person teaching, learning, student support and other activities for the 2021/22 Winter Session are returning to campus as required. Work is being completed under the COVID-19 UBC Safety Planning Framework.


Research

Effective: June 23, 2021

On-campus
On-campus research and scholarly activity is currently managed at the Faculty level. Any changes to on-campus and in-person research will be aligned with BC’s Restart Plan and Provincial Health guidelines.

Fieldwork
Permitted, following process at the Faculty level. Visit Fieldwork.

In-person research involving human participants
Consult the Office of Research Ethics website for the latest guidance and updates. Contact the UBCO-Behavioural Research Ethics Board (BREB) for specific consultations.
