First cohort graduates with Nsyilxcn Language Fluency degree

Indigenous students wait to receive their degrees at UBC Okanagan.

Two years after UBC Okanagan introduced a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous language fluency, eight students were conferred their Bachelor of Nsyilxcn Language Fluency (BNLF) degrees. UBCO delivers the degree through an innovative partnership between Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT) in Merritt and the En’owkin Centre in Penticton.
